Hello my crafty friends! I do hope you are ready for an out of this world Craft Your Life Kit this month. Altenew has once again hit this kit out of the park! The new Feathered Lilies Craft Your Life Kit is sensational and I could not wait to get my hands on this kit. The hard part was choosing what to do as the ideas just poured out and I settled on stencil coloring. Here is a tip for you. While I used the stencil on cardstock and die cut, One could use the 3D folder and die cut the image as well.
Pink and blue are one of my favorite color combos and so my lilies are colored with Pink Diamond and Coral Berry Crisp Ink. My Leaves I colored with Sea Glass and Desert Night Crisp Ink and the stamens are done in Grass Field and Yellow Ochre Crisp Ink. For the base f my card I used Midnight cardstock from Concord and 9th. I cut silver glitter paper from the Linear Crossroads die. To give the linear crossroads die some dimension, I cut it out several times from regular 80 lb cardstock and glued it all together. This die is rather delicate and so you need to be rather careful when pulling it from the die plate.
I glued the linear die piece down to my card base, I chose the "Hello" sentiment from the collection and embossed it on a circled die cut piece. I popped my sentiment and my lilies on my card. Feeling like I needed a little more pizzaz, I pulled out my white splatter and put it down on the card. The white splatter on the flowers looks a little like dew or rain on the petals I think. I so enjoyed making this card and I do hope you get this kit as you will not regret it. You can as always sign up for the subscription and get a discount and you are sure to be one of the first to get this kit as they always sell out.
Now, to celebrate this release, Altenew will be giving away a few prizes to those who follow the blog hop and comment on everyone's page by January 18, 2022 and the winners will be chosen on January 20, 2022.
